Permits and building codes change on a regular basis, and the procedure, sequence and steps in obtaining a building permit can be overwhelming and very frustrating if one in not well versed in the process (imagine having to go to the DMV everyday for 2-3 months straight). Kidding aside, each County, as well as some individual jurisdictions within those Counties (such as Falls Church City or the City of Alexandria), have different permit processes, requirements for plans and documents, zoning ordinances, etc. – AND they many requirements vary from county to county.

Because we know the “ins and outs” of the process, as well as much of the staff at the local jurisdictions, we can eliminate delays, frustration and minimize costs by applying for and having our permits approved timely and efficiently. By submitting a complete set of plans per county requirements the first time, we save our clients money in both interest carry cost as well as expensive civil engineering fees. Unlike some of our competition, we never require our clients to pull any of their own permits.
