Construction begins once your initial payments are processed; the home site is ready for building. We arrange a client meeting to familiarize you and your family with the construction process. Construction of your home should take from four to six months, depending on the design complexity and weather conditions.
Excavation subcontractors grade the lot and dig the area for your basement and footings. The footings, aka foundation, are put in place, and drainage tiles are installed around the foundation to control the flow of water around the house. Extra fill dirt may need to be hauled in or out.
Framers build interior and exterior walls, floors, and ceilings. Installation of the roof, windows, sheathing, and siding are installed next, protecting the home from the elements while the electrical, plumbing and ventilation systems are roughed in and then installed.
Drywall is installed and prepared for painting; cabinets are installed. Walls are painted and carpet typically gets installed last. After final interior painting, staining, and caulking. Near the end of this process, the driveway and sidewalks will be poured.
